Better Than School Community Line

These SMS Terms & Conditions govern text messages sent by Better Than School Enterprises LLC (“Better Than School,” “BTS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) through the Better Than School Community Line and other BTS text messaging programs that reference these terms.

By affirmatively opting in to receive SMS messages from Better Than School, you agree to these terms.

SMS Messaging Program

Better Than School may use SMS text messaging to communicate with individuals who have agreed to receive messages from us.

Depending on the communication for which you have opted in, messages may include responses to inquiries, customer or family support, program information, registrations, reminders, event information, community announcements, fundraising or donation-related communications, promotional messages, or other communications identified during the opt-in process.

Messages from the Better Than School Community Line are sent from (240) 875-4751.

​

We will send communications consistent with the type of messages you have agreed to receive.

Consent to Receive Messages

By providing your mobile telephone number and affirmatively opting in to receive text messages, you consent to receive SMS communications from Better Than School at the number you provided.

Your consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary. Where applicable, consent to receive promotional or fundraising text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services or participating in a Better Than School program.

You are responsible for providing an accurate telephone number and for having authority to provide that number for messaging purposes.

Message Frequency

Message frequency will vary depending on your interactions with Better Than School, the communications you have requested, and the programs or services involved.

We do not guarantee that a particular number of messages will be sent during any specific period.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply to SMS messages sent to or received from Better Than School, depending on your mobile carrier and service plan.

Contact your wireless carrier if you have questions regarding your messaging or data plan.

How to Opt Out

You may cancel SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to a text message from Better Than School.

​

After an opt-out request, you may receive a final message confirming that your request has been processed. You will then no longer receive messages covered by that opt-out unless you later opt in again.

​

You may also contact us directly if you are unable to opt out by text.

​

Federal rules recognize reasonable methods of revoking consent to covered robotexts and permit a one-time confirmation message after an opt-out.

Information obtained through our text messaging program is handled in accordance with the Better Than School Enterprises LLC Privacy Policy, available at:

We do not share personal information, telephone numbers, or SMS consent opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

​

We do not share mobile opt-in information or SMS consent with anyone.

Supported Carriers and Message Delivery

SMS delivery is subject to the availability and operation of wireless networks and third-party telecommunications systems.

​

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

​

Better Than School is not responsible for charges, transmission errors, delays, or undelivered messages caused by mobile carriers, telecommunications providers, or other third-party systems.

​

This is consistent with the carrier/delivery language contained in Grasshopper's current SMS terms template.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time.

When changes are made, we will update the “Last Updated” date shown on this page. Continued participation in the messaging program following an update is subject to applicable law and any consent requirements that may apply.
